How to Link a Domain to a Website

Once a domain and website are created in your account, you can add a domain link to a DistributorCentral website. This can be accomplished from your website manager, or the domain name manager.

Linking a domain from your website manager -

  1. While logged into your DistributorCentral account, click on the “Websites” menu on the left-hand side
  2. In the submenu that appears below click on “Hosting Manager”
  3. When the Websites hosting manager page loads, find the website you want to edit, and to the far right click the “Manage” button
  4. Next, you will go back to your websites list by clicking the “Websites” button above in blue
  5. Find the new website that you want to link the domain to, and click “Manage” to the right
  6. In your website manager, click the “Link Domain” link in the top right corner in the “Domains” box
  7. Enter in the domain host name* (e.g. “www”, another sub domain, or leave blank if none is needed)
  8. Select your domain from the list to the right
  9. Setup the SEO redirect if you have more than one domain linked to this website
  10. Click “Add” to complete the domain mapping

Linking your domain from the domain name manager

  1. While logged into your DistributorCentral account, click on the “Websites” menu on the left-hand side
  2. In the sub menu that appears below click on “Hosting Manager” 
  3. When the “Websites” manager loads, click on “Domains” at the top. 
  4. In the Domain manager, locate the domain that you will be linking to a website and click “Link to Website” to the right of it.
  5. In the “Link Website to Domain” pop-up screen, first enter the host name (right before the domain) in the “Host Name” field*. 
  6. Next, select a website that you want to link this domain to, in the “Website” drop down
  7. Finally click “Add” to complete the setup. Please allow up to 24 hours for your domain mapping to complete 

* The “Host Name” can be “www.mydomain.com” , “mydomain.com”, or any other name that your customers will use to reach your website. You may want to allow your customers to access your website by either of those, therefore, you will need to create 2 mappings to the one website:
